Psychotherapy offers the guidance and expertise of a trained professional to help the client explore the conflicts or concerns that are causing discomfort or distress in his/her life. Psychotherapy also allows one to seek out the resources and understanding within themselves and their environment in order to provide relief or change.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms.

Everyone experiences difficult times in his/her life. However, when life's difficulties or concerns begin to affect our daily lives, our relationships, our work, our physical health or our ability to function at our highest level, one can benefit from psychotherapy. It is also important to address symptoms that do not seem to be getting better even with medication interventions.

Psychotherapy can be extremely effective in helping people with major or minor depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, relationship conflicts, loss, life transitions, parent/child conflicts, a history of abuse, sexual issues, alcohol and drug issues, stress, anger management, self-esteem, as well as many others.

During the first session, a general history is taken and you are given an opportunity to discuss the concerns that brought you to therapy. Your expectations for therapy are discussed and treatment options and goals are developed.

Actually, the opposite is true. The person who seeks help for troubling issues is exhibiting courage, strength and maturity in their willingness to confront and address their concerns.
